Lawrence Shore, MD

Dr.  Shore is a Board Certified, Family Practice physician practicing in San Francisco since 1981.  He received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and completed medical school at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.

He has been interested in an advanced model of primary care, the Patient Centered Medical Home, since 2007.  This model aims to improve patient access to care and achieve better health outcomes through the use of electronic tools and expanded healthcare teams.

Dr. Shore is also actively involved with Brown & Toland Physicians.  He was a founding member of the board of directors from 1992 to 1997 and rejoined the board in 2010.  He previously was the chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at California Pacific Medical Center from 1992 to 2004.

Dr. Shore is married and has two grown children.  He enjoys many outdoor sports, watching the Giants, and attending live theater productions.
